Hi everyone! I own FO4 and have played all the other fallout games. I was very excited to see that this game contained a large amount of weapon customization, there was just one thing missing... a silencer for the Double Barrel Shotgun. This isn't too game breaking in my opinion, since you can put a silencer on the Combat Shotgun. If anybody is interested in doing this for me/the rest of the community. I'm not a gun nut, but I did actually look into whether you could use a suppressor on a revolver one time.

Basically it's not going to do anything because of the gaps between the chamber and the trigger. It's not airtight enough.

Actually you can only suppress a shotgun if it shoots so called "Slugs", massive projectiles instead of small leadballs which would blow up the silencer when leaving the barrel.

However the only the ammo type in the game is shells, and the Combat Shotgun has a silencer available, so i don't see a problem allowing the DB to be silenced. But doing that probably requires the tools to be released.
