Xbox One Install Size went to zero, freaking out!

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 12:19 pm

I did a digital purchase on Xbox One as well as the download over the weekend. Well after Oct 27th. At 6:30 pm EST, the file size on my Xbox was 28.1 GB, now it says the file size is 0 GB. I'm freaking out and trying to decided if I should delete and reinstall. Anyone else have this happen this evening? Thoughts?

I think it's a bug or glitch. I fixed it by doing a power cycle, hold your xbox power button down gently for around 10 seconds until it turns off. Upon turning the console on and selecting manage under fallout 4 it should appear correctly. Also DON'T uninstall it should clear itself in a few hours at launch if power cycle doesn't work.

Did you purchase it before or after Oct. 27?

If before, you might have to reinstall it.

Thanks. Power cycle didn't change it. This is my first time trusting digital purchase, wishing I had gone with a physical copy now, but I wanted to be up and running as soon after midnight as possible. Hope it sorts itself out. Last thing I want is to be troubleshooting or re-downloading at midnight.

Thanks, I purchased well after 10/27 and double checked file size 4 hours ago and it was correct.

I misinterpreted your well after Oct. 27 comment. Sorry about that.

hmmmm, hopefully it fixes itself.

I am going to go and quickly check mine.

Edit: Still says 28 gbs on mine. Try playing it when it is available and see what happens.

I had this same problem with Halo 5. Said I had all 54.8GB at launch, then had me install a 54.8GB "update" when it finally unlocked.

Not really sure how to solve it. The second I saw the GStaff post about it I uninstalled then re-installed the game. Hopefully it'll work this time.

I just bought the disc version at walmart and it keeps stopping the installation every 15 seconds saying the disc is damaged. I went through all microsoft's troubleshooting steps and confirmed that my bluray is fine. Also, I bought it at walmart and they(nicholasville ky) dont accept returns/exchanges on opened software of any kind. I want to start my new bethesda adventure, Help!

I also submitted a report on bethesda's support site and got an instant quick reply. My report was complete with pictures of the disc, my reciept, and the error cpde on the console. The disc is immaculate in appearance.

Disc stops installing at 24%. I even had it pre ordered and that stopped at 100% install. Never went anywhere. I got a return on digital copy and have already pruchased the disc twice today. Wtf is going on here. I'm about to get a hangmans knot and say goodbye. I can't deal with this bs. Someone know what's going on?

Hello I recommend trying an external hard drive, or you could try a factory reset which will delete everything on your HDD and restore the Xbox OS to when you first turned it on, and you will have to redownload/reinstall your apps, games, music, videos, OS updates etc again.
