Should I be hyped about Fallout 4?

I don't mind the graphics because graphics doesn't make a good game, gameplay does.

Before I start, I absolutely loved Skyrim and it was one of the best games I ever played. I spent many hours on it <3

Fallout 4 trailer looks a bit boring to me to be honest. I played Fallout 3 (or was it Fallout 2? Can't remember) at my friend's house once for few hours, years before I played Skyrim.
I played around in Fallout 3 open world and I didn't really get into it because the open world was quite boring zzzzzz

Funny because I didn't really get into Fallout but loved Elder games as these both are made by the same studio. I guess I am more into swords, fantasy etc rather than Fallout's world.

Anyway because I quitted playing Fallout 3 at that time and because of that I don't really know Fallout games that much, will this new Fallout 4 offers the same experience as Skyrim does? I know it haven't came out yet but I assumed it's similar to Fallout 3.

Depends on your game preferences really I suppose. Perhaps wait until the reviews come out on release and see whether you'd get into it or not?

This is where I miss game demos of yesteryear.

We have no idea on how the game play is going to be. We only had a couple of minutes of a trailer.

Do you still have a copy of Fallout 3 or New Vegas. Likely Fallout 4 are going to be closer to those two games than to TES games. Have you played other TES games.

You might want to look at some lets play videos of FO3 and New Vegas.

We don't know enough about what the game is going to be like yet. After E3 we'll have a better idea of what to recommend. But if you didn't like FO3 and you preferred Skryim you may just be one of those players that doesn't like the genre. There are a lot of TES players that tried Fallout and left because they prefer a more traditional fantasy setting.

Well was it Fallout 2 or Fallout 3 you played? Because they have drastically different gameplay. If it was Fallout 2, then I would recommend giving 3 or New Vegas a try. But if it was Fallout 3 you played, I can't imagine Fallout 4 being that different so maybe skip on it.

Hey....

...don't get hype, that word is so mainstream and insignificant now days. I bet people don't know what that means anymore.

I was hyped and going to pre-order immediately. I pissed myself at the teaser for Fallout 4. But everyone is yapping out their complaints and some of them seem to even be true. I hope Bethesda doesn't screw us. I'll have to wait and see gameplay.

Guys I just watched some videos of Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. I now know why I didn't get into Fallout 3 when I played it at my friend's house, it is because the world in Fallout 3 felt empty. It felt to me as it is literally a 'wasteland' which is its setting.

In Skyrim, everything feels alive like I don't know what to expect upcoming battles, twists, unique monsters etc whereas in Fallout 3 same usual mutant or typical bad guy come out of nowhere wanting for a boring repetitive gunfight and barely no one to interact with.

Of course I'm not going to give up on Fallout 4 yet, I will wait for the gameplay. If it shows repetitive gunfights with usual baddies in the middle of wasteland with nothing interesting to look at, I will probably give it a pass and wait for next TES game (That elder scrolls online game does not count as next TES game)

I know what it means... it's the feeling that a hippopotamus gets on halloween when confronted by a large rabbit wearing a blue turtleneck. See? I'm smart.
