This forum post is asking for Bethesda to do some specific things. One add an option to remove the headbob, and an option to adjust FOV in the PS4 version. Saying go to the doctor is not helpful. This is not a real small minority of players that have these issues.
I did ask my doc once about it, and you know what I was told? I was told that if it made me sick, don't do it. So you may wonder why I bought FO4, well that is because FO3 gave me no issues, and FO:NV only gave me issues when I tried it on the PC with the default FOV. So it was reasonable to buy the game. Unfortunately it caused some pretty nasty motion sickness, because the head bob and the small FOV. Its not unreasonable to ask for help from Bethesda to enjoy the thing I spent 60$ on.
Its also ignorance to consider it epilepsy. Could it be? Of course. However, in cases it won't be. If you read about it you'll find that they really don't know what causes it, that it is most probably the brain getting confused between what the eyes see and what the ears sense in terms of balance.
So why should Bethesda care? Well, I've read articles that say over 50% of all Americans have had one episode of visual induced motion sickness, either from watching a movie or playing certain video games, and that 30% of people have this regularly. I know for fact that I'm unlikely to ever buy a Fallout game unless I'm damned sure it won't make me want to puke or have migraine level headaches. No company wants to lower the market for their product, especially when it has a relatively simple solution, just allow the headbob to be deactivated, and allow the FOV to be changed. If you want the head bob, leave it on, it won't hurt you at all. If you want the default FOV, leave it. It doesn't hurt you at all.
And of course if you suspect you have a medical problem, seek medical attention.
