Old guns quest bug please fix!

Stuck in the Old Guns Quest for the Minutemen Fort.

Once you've opened the castle armory door and assigned some random settler to an artillery canon, the radio emitter (witch was working perfeclty well before that) won't be powered anymore.

Yes the power generator is running, yes it is connected to the radio emitter, and yes the 10 power units needed appear green when in workshop mode. I haven't changed anything from when it was working.

I have tried changing the generator's position, constructing a new one, changing the copper cables, turning the radio emitter switches on and off and on and off and on and off, etc, etc..

The settler assigned to the radio just keeps telling me it needs power before he can use it.

It prevents me from completing this quest and is a total fun killer..

I have the same problem. Radio is powered up but the guy won't run it and you can't direct him to. I have tried everything possible as well. HOWEVER, my guy bugged before the old guns quest. In my case, I set the radio up and he ran it fine. I come back and he no longer would sit at it. I'm then offered the Old Guns quest, Many people have this problem but it happens at different stages. Ultimatly the problem is, we can't tell him to sit at the damn radio because he is flagged as someone we cant control.

Most problems I've read about involving this radio man starts either during the Old Guns quest or if he ever gets knocked out.

I am now forced to avoid this entire quest line for the castle, I hope it's not an important one.
