Fallout 4 Will Not Load on Xbox One

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:11 pm

Anyone else having this issue? Booted it up st 9:01pm Pacific time and worked just fine. Played until 2 am and went to bed. Now that I'm home and trying to play again I get to the "Press Any Button to Start" screen, press a button, then it just infinitely loads. I thought maybe it just takes a while but I've been here for 10 minutes and I'd rather not Uninstall... any ideas on how to fix it?

I made an account here for this. Unfortunately reinstalling the game does NOT fix it. I know because I reinstalled and I'm still having the same exact issue.

Me too.

Hopefully we get a response on Beth from this soon. Otherwise I'll just dispute the charge with my bank and get a refund :sadvaultboy:

This happened to me. You simply unplug the Xbox wait 10 seconds eject the disk and re insert it. Fixed it for me...

Try a hard reset. Hold down the power button until the Xbox turns off and then back on. It'll clear the cache.

I have a physical copy and the game still isn't working. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times, I have exchanged the disc, I have hard reset the Xbox, and downloaded the update. It gets to either the load screen after the menu, or after the intro scene and the whole thing crashes. This is so frustrating.

ive seen this issue before with other games reported.

for them the solution was to simply hard reset the console (power it completely off and unplug from the outlet for 30 seconds or so)

another solution was that they were running the dashboard preview, and removing the preview (unsubscribing from the preview program) and reverting to the normal dashboard fixed it.

try those

Me too, and it's very frustrating. I played last night, but when I got up on my day off (thank you veterans), I was stuck in the loading screen.

Hard reset resolved it for me. Good luck to anyone else with it.

Try this: change your Console Language and Location to another country, restart it. Try to play the game. If it is different (taking longer to start, working!?) you can change it back. I am playing with a disc copy in Germany, but my game is the Austrian/EU Version with PEGI 18 and my Console is working under "UK - english" because i want the original language. I noticed, that some games start different than before, some take longer, some of them not...

I had the same issue and have a digital copy the hard reboot worked for me. Shutdown the console while stuck in the loading screen by holding down the power button and then unplugged the console for about a minute and then restart and it loaded this time

The whole 'turn off the console and unplug it' does work for me, well, the first time I did it anyway. I turned off the game after a few hours of gameplay, then decided to turn it back on again and the glitch returned.

Really hope there's a patch for this soon. I don't want to have to turn off the console and unplug it for a few minutes.
