I wanted to know if anyone had made a mod for Morrowind or Oblivion that made your staff not held like a two-handed sludge hammer?

On that note I do believe that the next installment of the ES series should have the option of doing that. When playing MW I wanted my character to have a staff (Magika user) to cast spells but mainly to walk with. Not knowing that there was Silt Striders to ride on. Then I got OB and saw that the staves could cast spells but you still didn't have the animation for a walking stick.

Not having the internet and playing OB on console I never got the chance (or time) to look for the missing animation. Any suggestions?

:Edit: I just think that this could help in the next ES game, if only slightly. :laugh:

P.S. Which one is it Staffs or Staves?

There was some Oblivion mod that gives the character Sheogorath's animations. But it would only work with his staff, which you needed a different mod for.

I'd like to see a mod for doing this though, myself, for Morrowind. If only I knew how to animate :rolleyes:

Staves for multiple.

A walking stick animation would be awesome. Also at the Society for Creative Anachronism, I have seen a man make a very good defense with a staff in one hand and a one handed longsword in the other. He kept one end of the staff on the ground and swung it to block, and attacked with his sword.

Yes putting your staff on your back when you are not using it is strange at best. You should most definitely be able to use it as a staff should be used. To support you when you walk. And when we are at it, please beth, make staves sensible this time. No more magic machine guns like in Oblivion. Thanks
