Played Fallout for 6 hours yesterday and kept saving it as you do.Go to play it today and my save has gone.Tried starting again and now have no option at all to save the game as quick save and save are blanked out.Tried reinstalling the game.Power cycling the xbox and still get the same problem.Can`t play the game at all as it wont let me save at all .

your xbox connected to the internet constantly and reliably?

saves are stored in the cloud if the box is connected.

so they are gone, but they mifght not be synced up etc.

that might also be why you cant save now, because the box knows saves exist and wont let you overwrite until its synced properly.

Try soft reset of Xbox one: with console on hold power button of console until go off

Always connected and have a 75 meg connection.I saved loads of times yesterday and everything just seems to have vanished game doesnt seem to wanna sync with cloud.Few peeps have the same issue.

Tried that mate and nothing out of options.May just wait for them to release a fix for the many problems the game has.

Both the save and Quicksave options are grayed out for me no matter what part of the game I'm on. Is anyone else having this problem?

Managed to get it to work.Had to factory reset my xbox and now seems to be saving for the moment.Thanks for your help though much appreciated.

If this occurs again, I would be curious to know if quitting the application (not just suspending the game) helps.

As a quick update... it sounds like there was a service issue on Live today. Because Fallout 4 uses cloud saving, the console reset was needed.
