Resolution, interference and picklocking

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 7:13 pm

Ok so, when i launched the fallout 4 launcher and i wanted to choose the screen resolution on full screen then i noticed that i can't choose aspect ratio (mine is 4:3) so the aspect ratio tab is greyed out and the resolution tab is blank so i start the game anyways and there are some interference bugs like out of placed letterboxes or something like that but the huge problem is that whenever i try to picklock something while on full screen the background blurs out (like it should) and there is no lock on my screen but i can hear the sound of how i pick the lock by pressing A and D. So i need to change from full screen to windowed so i could pick lock it. I play the game on 800x600 cause my pc isnt that great but the game is playable not to metion the picklock bug.

I cannot see locks either.

This is a huge pain in the ass since on windowed mode there seems to be no way to go fullscreen. Alt+enter does nothing. I am stuck with a screen that only takes up 1/2 of my monitor.

This issue should be considered a knock-on to the following thread, Bethesda! http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1544670-either-4k-resolution-or-gtx-780-ti-issue/

Ok guys, I've finally found a fix for 1240x1024 resolutions. Download this mod from: www(DOT)nexusmods(DOT)com/fallout4/mods/143/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Ffallout4%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D143%26preview%3D&pUp=1This mod fixed the no pick lock bug and the power armor interface bug.To install do this1. Copy Data folder contents into your Fallout 4 Data directory2.Edit My Documents\My games\Fallout 4\Fallout4.ini - Find "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\," - Change it to: "sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, INTERFACE\"under [Interface] section add:-"fLockPositionY=100.0000" -"fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateZ=-18.5000"-"fUIPowerArmorGeometry_TranslateY=460.0000" 3. Start your game and enjoy mostly fixed HUD (Main menu is off still, but the rest should be fine)
