after going into concord I defeated the deathclaw and decided to help the settlers setup camp, but I cant get out of my power armour, I have gone into the pipboy and selected the peices of armour and dropped them but I am still in it

To get out, you need to press the same key you used to get in -unless you need to be near a power armor crafting station which I don't think is the case.

Who knows, it could be a bug. There are people who are reporting all sorts of bugs ranging from the serious to the hilarious. There was one in which after fast travel he found himself high up in the sky and fell to his death. Another reported that a quest giver all of the sudden started attacking him for no apparent reason and he had to reload a save. While in another case the quest giver disappeared completely before your eyes even though you could still hear him talking.

Lol, this is the drawback of playing a game fresh without any patches. ^^

ok I am playing on pc, and yes I used the pip boy as there was no other way to take it off, so I went into the pip boy and dumped the armour like you would excess stuff in the inventory. I am wondering if the only way is to access the heavy lift like cranes things I find garages etc

Hold the use key to get out of power armor (default E), not sure if you need to be standing next to the power armor crafting station while doing this, I did. It is very close to concord anyways, it is where you found Dogmeat.

No, you can get out of the power armor almost anywhere. The tooltip only flashes once to tell you how to get out (hold activate, or the key used to get in).

After 200 years of inactivity the Pa is a bit rusty soooo, better use some oil XD
