Hi everyone,
unfortunately I seem to have the exact same issue as the OP: when I open the app and select Xbox One, it scans and scans forever and nothing happens, not even an error message pops up. If I select PC / PS4 it almost instantly tells me that no device was found in the network. And if I select Xbox One OUTSIDE of my home WiFi network (e.g. at work where there′s no Xbox connected at all), it also scans forever with no result.
What I did so far / what I tried:
*enabled the Pip-Boy option ingame (set to "on"), restarted game afterwards. Tried switching on / off multiple times. Doesn′t fix the problem.
*both Xbox One and my Smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S2 with Android 4.1.2) are connected to the same WiFi network
*enabled option on Xbox One "accept connections from all Smartglass devices". Doesn′t fix the problem!
*changed Xbox One′s MAC adress in the network options. Doesn′t work.
*reinstalled the Pip-Boy App multiple times. No effect.
*multiple restarts of console / router / smartphone. No effect.
*set my router to DMZ / exposed host. No effect.
As you can see, I tried some of the suggested solutions described in other threads already, but nothing worked for me so far! However I invited a friend of mine to my place to see if it works with his smartphone, and voilá: within the same setup, he was able to instantly connect his app to my Xbox One with his smartphone (Oneplus One with Android 5.1). Two seconds later I tried it again with my phone, no luck - this is just frustrating
Any help would be much appreciated, I′ve got this awesome looking real-life pip-boy lying next to me and I just want to finally try it out!
Thanks in advance for your help!
Best,
Tobi
