Classic Music Or Modern Music?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:50 am

Never done that, personally. Actually, I pulled the FO3 song files out and burned them to a disc. I listen to it in my car.

No. No it wouldn't. (opinion, of course)

But, then, I've never been a fan of stuff like that. I don't "get" fantasy/medieval movies with modern soundtracks, nor do I understand the desire to stick Metal music (even the "epic fantasy" type) in Skyrim. Just not my thing, at all.

edit: ah, crap. Just noticed this is from three weeks ago. /sigh

Meh I'm gonna turn off the music anyway (not a fan of 50s music) and just play some Power Glove. Nothing beats entering a raider camp with a minigun and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRXeO5JpFxMsong.

It's supposed to be "the future" as seen in 50's sci-fi. Retro-50's Future. Not actual future.

I think the old music just fits better and it helps give the game "character" and theme.

Throwing in modern music would feel out of place imo.

As long as they have Summertime by the JAmies I'm happy.

I wouldn't mind if they adopted some genres from the same era of music. They could easily implement some early rock songs. Granted, a lot of early rock is in between the 50s and 60s. Does Fallout Music stop at 1950, or does it leak over a little bit into the 50s? There's a lot of great music in that era that would be different, yet similar enough to fit the theme.

Like, Screamin' Jay Hawkins circa 1956. Or Roy Hamilton. Or something like that.

How about Johnny Horton? Killing Raiders to the Battle of New Orleans or Sink the Bismarck... Sounds fun to me.

No... it's their actual future... and it manifested quite close to how their pop-50's culture predicted it.

*Of music... the music should be like a 1950's idea of future music; not the 1950's own [then present] music.

Classic for me as well. Not that it is any better (some is) but more the fact it works so dang well in its almost the world you know, but its not kind of way.

(someguy I will buy you a nuka cola if we meet in the wastes or at least not shoot you cause of the Screaming Jay nod)

You know whiskey in the jar would really fit......... Really its older than you think metalica fans, even thin lizzy fans were talking near 350 years. Or at least some Irish folk songs come on.

I wouldn't mind retro 50s music-if we had ran out of actual 50s music. There's plenty of real deal 100% genuine grade A authentic music from the 50s and back we can all enjoy.

We should be able to search for modern music, and add them to our own radio.

I hope they don't add any modern hip-hop, if rap could get worst in the real world, god knows how bad it could get in a video game.
