Ok, I've now been without internet for the last week and have to post these from work. I will be going around to a friend's place tonight to download and activate Fallout 4 on my Steam account. I'm just using my friend's internet connectivity to download the game on to my Steam account with which I purchased Fallout 4.

My question is:

Will Fallout 4 still work if Steam is in Offline mode with no internet connectivity after activation?

So basically after I download and activate Fallout 4 will I be able to go back home and play?

Will the Pip-boy connect over my wireless network or does it do some of it's magigery through the internet?

Yes Fallout 4 can be played offline.

Yes it can be played offline after activation but am not sure if you will have to go online at least once on the other computer you will be playing it on to give it permission to be used on more than one pc.

I'll be physically taking my desktop computer over to my friend's place so it'll be the same computer.

Everything should work fine for you in Steam offline mode, including the pip boy app. That is just on your home network.

Hehe, my friend has cable so I was downloading at around 13MBps. It took about 30 minutes to install. It works like a charm. You definitely don't need constant internet connectivity and the Pip-boy app works perfectly through a Wi-Fi network to the game.
