in-depth weapon customization

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:43 am

I was zooming in on the picture Bethesda released earlier and noticed something odd. The laser rifle on the wall appeared to be fully assembled but there were other parts on the wall for it. What caught my eye in particular was a spare stock on the wall that was different than the one on the rifle itself. Not to mention the hunting rifle/ laser rifle combo in the trailer and in the picture. Could this mean there will be an elaborate customization system for weapons in the game? Thoughts?

I hope so, I really like jury-rigged and unusual weapons, gives it a real "wasteland" type feel, I love to see makeshift weapons in the game

I hope so, FNV did a step in the right direction with weapon mods.

I hope we can combine weapons to.

I wish i can bought a lot of arms from gunshop and /// attachements but only unlockable by a hard xp leveling up, like in battlefield 4.

I want a little sumethin ;) "pack-quest weapons systems", graduated by givin the most you can do for quest step by step, refered to factions, I think about old arms, russian, chinese, U.S

1)sort of knifes

2)sort of guns

3)sort of rifle

4)explosives..

Yeah, i am positive that some weapons will have more then 3 modifications, the more complex is the weapon the more mod's it might have.

Crap, I'd be content with NV level of customization (GRA loaded), but I would welcome more depth.

Would love to stick a machete on the end of a rifle and call it a makeshift bayonet lol.

Ide like something immensely more elaborate than any call of duty or battlefield game can offer.

After all this is a roll play game. They should have plenty of room.

I want to attach a suspending blade to a firearm so that I can melee or shoot without hotkeying or going in my inventory.

We need a list of guns and all possible alterations/ modifications.

I would absolutely love it if FO4 had weapon mods.

I could easily see mods like.

Enhanced power coils( Energy weapons ) Increases range & damage, but decreases ammo capacity or total shots for the weapons clip or power cell, microfusion cell and so on.

Customisation seems like a probable theme with the website promotional image focused on the workshop. Also thinking since the location will feature the Commonwealth and the Institute, this also indicates a possible "invention" theme being a post war HUB for research and development.

I don't expect a high level of weapon customisation such as that found in the battlefield series (don't even expect there will be any weapon sights outside of scoped guns) but I am expecting to see a range of custom weapons made available, similar to FO3's blueprint weapons but hopefully much more variety. Sort of imagining some Black Mesa type crazy weapons to play with, new types of energy weapons outside the routine plasma and lasers.

Would love to see the Chinese assault rifle return as a pimped out customised weapon, maybe some sort of energy weapon/conventional firearm hybrid.

Actualy if you look at the garage still they posted that you can download 111's rifle looks a lot like some of the kids "Quaker rifles" shaped/carved from a single board to look like a lever action rifle but with salvaged Nikon SLR lenses and a presumed laser of some kind.

Agreed with OP, I hope to see more in depth customization, different sights and such, maybe even damage ratings on individual parts a la DayZ, like if you get a scope that's damaged it's all cracked and hard to see through.
