Radio Freedom bugged?

Apologies if this has already been posted about.

Upon returning to The Castle a bit later, I discovered that the Minuteman assigned to operate the Radio is bugged out. He won't sit down to run the station, and continually repeats the following:

"We've got to get the transmitter powered back up so I can get back to broadcasting"

At this point, the transmitter has more than enough power (I've built new generators just to potentially re-trigger it - no dice), and the current status in workshop mode shows it does have power, but does not have an NPC assigned. That leads me to believe the NPC itself is bugged, and unfortunately you can't assign a different NPC to broadcast or reassign the same.

Anyone else run into this?

Yes, same issue here. I scoured the internet for advice and the consensus seems to be the trigger is doing the optional part of the Old Guns quest - tuning into the station. If you do that, the NPC bugs out. It doesn't seem to be platform-specific, either. PC users were trying console commands to correct it, to no avail. I've spent the last half hour or so trying different combinations of adding power, removing power, moving switches, using different generators, nothing worked. I even shot the npc in the face a couple times trying to jog his memory, but he just said to give him time to heal and he'd get back to transmitting, then went back to telling me to get the transmitter powered up.

According to my research and everyone else on the internet, the ONLY way to 'fix' it is to load an earlier save and not tune into the radio during the Old Guns quest (which isn't a fix at all). I'm five hours out from that point so... yea. Guess I'll just ignore it and hope for a patch.

This one is pretty game-breaking. Hope they deal with it soon.

Oof.

That's kinda strange. Do you know if tuning in immediately bugs him out? I ask because I don't think that was my trigger. I reloaded a bit (lost about 5-6 hours...oi), to a point post-quest but pre-bug. He's not bugged out at this point. Wondering if maybe there's more than one trigger, which is pretty bothersome if true.
