My first post lol, but ladies and gentlemen, I have read some threads and to save the resolution settings, in my case my game did not install and write down the data in the document folders and therefore cannot save anything. So what I did was just make a new folder named "Fallout4" no space and copy the desired .ini files into the folder and the preference.ini This has worked for me to save the resolution settings but I cannot find out how to make the saves work. So within the Documents/Mygames/Fallout4 I made a subfolder named "saves" hoping that it will work but it did not. If anyone has a fix please, sos halp. I checked if it is set to "read only" and it is not.



***Update*** Still no progress in fixing the save files, even after manually making a fallout4 save folder i still cannot save or load a game. It seems I am missing the Controlmap_custom.txt file and I validated game cached, uninstalled it and reinstalled it with no success. The Default ini seems to take place of the custom ini. I do have a preference ini however and the regular fallout ini. Please, has anyone found a solution to this?

Oh and note that in the Fallout.ini folder it said this "This save game was created on a later version of Fallout 4. Please download any updates.
