Fallout 4 FPS

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 4:06 pm

Ok, I'll get straight to the point, i have a high end PC, and a 144hz G-sync monitor. I booted up fallout 4 in borderless window, i got a solid 48 frames. I booted it up in fullscreen i jumped up to 72 frames. Since my computer/monitor can handle up to 144 frames with ease i unlocked the FPS via configs, i get a solid 200+ frames however the game goes bonkers, I walk ultra fast, lock picking is impossible, etc. I want to know is there a way i can get at least 100+ frames without causing the game to go completely nuts? Or am i out of luck?

It was the same for skyrim and I'm unsure how you got 72 without it going bonkers to be honest. Usually anything over 60 causes it to do that.

It seems 72 fps in FULLSCREEN mode for me is its cap, which i thought too was strange because caps usually go 30, 60, etc. If i swap over to windowed or borderless window i'm presented with exactly 50% of the fps so 36 fps cap. I can uncap it but the games does go bonkers but i get a solid 300 fps.
