So I felt like VATS wasn't working right, so I quick saved at a spot where I could guarantee a 50% shot every time. I tallied them up, and apparently for me, 50% means about 1 out of every 8-10 shots. There's nothing that could be obstructing it. It's a straightforward vantage. From my experience, 80% seems more like 50-50. Now, I have 3 luck, but the default would be 4 if you split all your stats evenly. Either way, there's no excuse for it to be THAT crippling. I'm at pretty certain it's miscalculating. Anyone else having this problem?

Maybe you're just a lousy shot...... I'm kidding.

After some perks and skill improvements, this may become more "statistically logical" over time.

My VATS miss targets at almost point blank range even with a shotgun and I have perks on guns and my luck is at 6, and this is already posted as a topic but occasionally I get the inhaling jet animation instead of the shooting one, it doesn't actually use the jet but it doesn't shoot either...I have racked up on super accurate and exceptional recoil weapons so I can rely on VATS less and its helping
