Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 8:13 pm

i admit i didnt really play the other ones, but ive been reading alot about fallout lore and im coming closer and closer to calling myself a fan! i can't wait to savagely go through every nook and cranny with this game. ill probably spend around 300 hours on my first playthrough because i will be looting everything i see.

Ha! Yes, frantic looting is practically inevitable. Although, it can be taken too far... going through the opening of FO3 I had to stop and think "My character's world is falling apart, everything's going wrong, he's being hunted, trying to stay alive. Now, would he really take time to collect every glass beaker, plate, and [forking] fork he can stuff into his miraculously huge pockets?"

:)

As am I.....

...as am I...

Also - You need to at least play Fallout 3. I consider it second best only next to Fallout 1 in terms of setting, plot, and atmosphere.

im watching gophers complete walkthrough of it at the moment and i agree it has more filler than NV. NV was so open but with nothing to see really.

New Vegas was just desert which for me was boring. That and you couldn't take a few steps without running into NCR patrols, NCR outposts, and other human settlements. With so much life it was hard for me to immerse into a post-apocalyptic desert. It also felt very linear in that the path to Vegas was a straight shoot from path A-B-C.

Personal opinion and preference though

I am very ready. Played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas, so having a Fallout game on my Xbox One would be just awesome. On top of that, if it releases this year as it SHOULD, I will be playing it nonstop. GOTY will be Fallout 4, and I would place money on that. THE HYPE IS REAL.

Preordered a copy of Fallout 4 for the Xbox One and a copy for a family member to play on his PC. Stoked for this! What better way to end the year with one of the most epic and fulfilling RPG franchise?

I'm excited to see what random, unmarked creepy locations Fallout 4 will have. Fallout 3 had some weird locations that told some of the most bizarre stories just through atmosphere and the environment around you.

Don't worry there's a pessimistic and vitriolic subculture in these forums just waiting to curb your enthusiasm (and I'm part of it) .

Greetings! This one is glad you are deciding to check out Fallout! About the community, do not be discouraged if you have an unpleasant intreraction with some of the members, we are all here to discuss the games and sometimes arguments can get intense. Above all, have fun!

Yes, I'm playing through FO3 and FO:NV again now. I'm not getting too excite about FO4 just yet because it may not be out for quite some time but I'm still quite happy about it's development announcement.

The 14th won't get here soon enough. I'm really hoping it will put a lot of anxiety to rest.

I'm hoping the vaults in Fallout 4 are huge and creepy as can be this time around. I enjoyed the spooky vibe and atmosphere, not knowing what was around the next corner, hacking into computers reading about the fates and sinister, psychological torment of previous vault residents of Fallout 3. New Vegas was cool but the bland desert atmosphere svcked and was a bore to explore.
