FO4Edit: Possible loss of face data for NPC records?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:59 pm

A couple of my users of Simple Bug Fixes are reporting my fix for Curie not having the proper Sneak perks makes her face different. This would imply FO4Edit is mishandling or losing the face data somehow.

However, puzzlingly, one of my other users is reporting he's using the mod and the face is working just fine, compared it to screenshots on the wiki.

So I'm investigating this right now, waiting on some save files to come in. If anyone has any insight, let me know.

Also - an alternate way of adding perks to Curie would be appreciated, preferably NOT through batch files.

Sounds like something similar to the old grey-face bug in Skyrim. basically if NPC_ records were modified, you had to re-generate the facegen data. Not sure why some users experience it and others not... maybe those experiencing it had already met Curie once, and those who don't have it met her after installing your file.

I think it behaved this way in Skyrim (not 100% sure).

If that's where the issue come from, it sounds un-fixable before having a way to regenerate facegen data (aka GECK...)

P.S. : Also, check your pm on Nexus plz, I sent you something earlier.
