The game is unplayable on PS4 during battles.
And yes my game + console is up to date....
The game includes lots of bugs and glitches too!

PS4 no issues here some dropped frames on occasion but nothing significant .Runs like butter overall.
XBox ONE version plays fine.
No issues apart from the Dog can teleport if you go back into the vault but I think they made the game like that.
i am supriced on how well the ps4 version runs for me .
The game on PS4 really does not like smoke effects, nor too many enemies at once.
I mean it is not unplayable, but the framerate DOES dip noticeably.
Luckily it usually recovers after a couple of seconds, but bigger fights can get difficult for the wrong reasons.
I've had no issues with my game on the ps4 thus far & I'm six days in. Of course the usual bugs that we've seen in every other Bethy game also make an appearance in F4. e.g. objects falling through solid surfaces... sigh!
0 Issues on my PS4. No drops at all. Seems like an issue with your console. Maybe try to get it checked?
nothing wrong with the console itself. Its the game I checked it out. Its only on this game.
maybe it has to do with servers? im from the netherlands(europe).
Servers? Its not multiplayer nor is it streamed. The game is playable offline.
its working good on my xbox, i had some frame rate drop a few days ago in an area in the city but overall its working great, i've only had to reboot once cause of a pip boy glitch, i've been playing since day 1 and i'm at level 21, i've been in some of the tall buildings in the city, in big battles with lots of enemies etc and the game ran well.
Well some might be using an external HD which can help according to some reports
Instant On can mess things up, as there appears to be some memory leak issues with the console so a hard reboot can cure that. But yea i agree for people using the internal drive its odd
Does the 1TB xbox have a better drive in than the standard xbox i wonder?
The fixes I heard were that installing the game to an external 7200rpm (the default internal is only 5400rpm I think) drive helped things. Also installing to a SSD (solid state drive) worked, but is very expensive.
I've gotten a couple drops for about 5-10 secs, but never in a fight oddly enough. Last time it happened I was simply out searching for the
No issues on my PS4. Hard Copy.
In 30 hours i have only had 2 slight fps drops and nothing else.
I haven't had this problem yet and I've been putting some very long hours in to Fallout 4.
Heat related problem?
When I bought my PS4 I also got a stand for it that has a two controller charger docking setup and two big cooling fans that blow directly in to the vents on my PS4. The PS4 sits vertically in the stand and it's fan hasn't kicked in to high yet.
Console version?
There are different versions. The newer versions use less wattage (among a few other small differences) and I would think that the lower wattage consumption would make them run cooler and cause less problems? Don't know for sure.
Other apps running in the background?
Check, if so, stop them from running and see if that helps.
Sleep or Shut down?
I always completely shut down when I'm done playing. It forces all the apps to close and the system to shut down. I got a pet peeve about leaving things in sleep mode. It's good to shut down regularly to stop/clear everything out.
Dusty/smoky/hairy(pets) environment?
Try cleaning the laser lens. That's if you are running the disc version. Doesn't apply to download version.
Installation problem (far fetched idea)?
By the time I got the game the Day 1 patch was already out so as soon as I put the disc in, my system downloaded the patch before the game would even start.
I have experienced no frame rate drops, smoke/fog/cloud scenes are beautiful, the radiation storm that rolls through randomly is just incredible.
I was in a huge fight in the Out Of Fire quest at the foundry. As luck would have it the Brotherhood Of Steel appeared on the road and I drew everyone in to a fight with them. Massive flames, explosions, probably 15 or more people fighting and well as a trading caravan brahmin running around in a panic all ablaze while it was being attacked. Not a single frame rate drop.
I have to admit I am astonished. The load and save times are so fast I don't even have time to get a drink or grab a snack like I got accustomed to on the PS3 with Fallout 3.
btw ... the Drake's Fortune Collection that came with this PS4 bundle is absolutely beautiful. I can honestly say that I haven't experienced a single situation where I have had a frame rate drop in any game I've played yet on my PS4. After reading comments from other people I can only attribute that to the extra cooling and the fact that I have it sitting vertical so the heat escapes quicker, but I don't know for sure.
HTH,
