» Thu Nov 26, 2015 3:05 pm I'm roughly 27 hours into Fallout 4 and somewhere between the 24 and 27 hour mark, I've lost the ability to talk to Codsworth. I press "Y" to talk and there is a slight noise that sounds like a mic turning on that lasts for about 0.5-1 second then stops. However nothing comes after.
I covered anything that may be considered a spoiler however I urge you to read them as they are key elements of my issue.
I can still trade with him and command him to search for items etc, however I can't talk to him or dismiss him unless I ask someone else to accompany me.

I later managed to dismiss him by asking Piper to accompany me, however I encountered the same problem with her.
I'm wondering why this is happening and whether I can fix it because I enjoy having Codsworth as my partner.

I loaded up an old save at about the 24 hour mark and Codsworth could talk to me, but somewhere in between he's lost the ability to talk, I first noticed during the "Unlikely Valentine" mission, shortly after entering Vault 114 where you have to find Nick Valentine.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I've read online that this has happened to a few others but no one knows how to fix it?
Also this is my first post, as contacting bethesda support directed me to here...classic "support" lol.
