Upgradable base

Hey, designed a simlar thing for a tabletop RPG and as we have both player housing with upgrades in FO3 and NV:OWB I thought I'd suggest an improved version for FO4/DLC

So along with the basic camp/home we could have quests where either we go directly to find said upgrade like in NV, purchase some like in FO3 or my suggestion do quests.(I'll use old factions/groups for examples as we know their backstory and attitude)

  • You do a quest for BoS in exchange they give you an improved gun press, it's a bit low tech for them.
  • Rivet city researchers, you say get rid of the commonwealth guy (forgotten then name) and they'd give you tips on hydroponics improving the players plants.
  • NCR they give you improved defences.
  • House a Luxury furniture.

There could be some such as finding an vault, fort, army base or enclave bunker and being able to salvage some items to upgrade/repair or add new things to the base.

I'd also suggest faction alliances being able to add new things such as new skins and themes for the base.

What would people think of possible attacks/raids by wildlife/raiders/hostile factions?

...We would import NCR defenses...? Man, the shipping and handling would be murder.

As we don't know who is in the game I'm using known forces from previous games to give examples of it. NCR isn't high tech but do seem to set up quite a few outposts and bases and could (if we were over there) give tips, supplies etc on building up defences.

In F2, one of the most fun things is to look upgrades for your "base" (actually, your base is a car, but it's the same thing).

Hope we have this in F4.
