Fallout 4 - Level 20 - xBox One - All Saves corrupt

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 6:04 pm

2 days of playing Fallout 4, now suddenly when starting the game all my save files show corrupt. I'm really hoping there's some way to recover one or more of these saves, as I'm not going to start over knowing the possibility exists that this will happen again. Plus I've invested this much time to make it to level 20.

Attempts to call result in "go to the website" and an email to support is focused on pip boy problems and pretty much nothing else. Then I was sent here.

Sure hope there's a human someplace that can assist, I bought the xBox One specifically to play this game, now I pretty much just want my money back for the game if I can't get some assistance.

Anyone out there?

I'm sorry to hear htat man. I've hit some bugs that have really bummed me out as well. I'm hoping for an official fix for a lot of them.

Have you tried a hard reset of your system? Hopefully it will work for you:

Yep, tried hard restart, no dice. Just so furious right now I want to return the xBox, game, controller and anything else Bethesda related...

Here I was thinking I was the only one with this issue. Happened to me as well, but at level 7. None of my files would load.

When I restarted the game, I'd get to the part where I would be released from the cryogen only to have the game stop movement. Sound played, but couldn't move and the hud was missing.

Restarted again. Same thing happened.

At this point, I closed the game, unplugged the console, and started it up. Went into the game manager and deleted all save files.

That seemed to work, but for your level 20, that's probably not very helpful.

Sorry you got burned. I know level 20 is a lot of work. :(

Thanks, yeah, pretty upset at the moment. I can handle starting over, but I have ZERO confidence in the game not doing this again, and I'd feel a whole lot better if Bethesda's support organization actually existed. Instead I get the runaround from phone to website to email to forum.

Seems like Bethesda is more interested in making sure people are happy with the Pip-Boy iPhone app. Sure would be nice if they employed a support staff too.
