I sent Dogmeat back to Sanctuary Hills where all my companions are and I can't find him. He isn't in SH and he isn't in Diamond City (where I was when I sent him back). I've checked surrounding areas and all corners and shadows but the dog is just... gone.

Anybody running into missing companions? Any good way to get them back?

I am on Xbox One. No PC console cheats for me.

Dogmeat tends to hang out near/in dog houses of the backyards in Sanctuary Hills, so it can take some time to find him there. I started sending him the the Red Rocket station where you meet him instead.

i keep searching doghouses but no luck. Anyboydy else with suggestions would appreciate it.

destroy all doghouses in SH.. then put a new one somwhere and wait there.. he will show up.. or.. put a bell in the settlement and ring the bell.. it will bring all npcs to the bell including dogmeat.

There are two dog houses in sanctuary. One behind the house to your right upon entering sanctuary (from red rocket gas station) and one on the opposite side of the street.

Also, double check to make sure he didn't go back to the gas station.

You could use player.moveto 0001d162 which is dogmeat's ID

Look on top of houses. I know it sounds weird it does happen, I thought Piper was missing turns out, she was repairing the roof
