from what we saw in the trailer, do you think we will get to experience the great war in fallout 4??

Possibly, but I磎 more inclined to think if any of the trailers pre war content is used in game, it will be part of the traditional opening narration, Beth attempt to step it up to the new generation.
I hope not. Fallout wasn't supposed to be about the Great War. Hell Fallout takes place 80 years after the Great War and every game since then moves further from that point in time.
Id like to see it, I think it would be interesting. But obviously that's just me.
The Great War wasn't eventful beyond nukes being launched and the world being decimated. It began and ended on the same day, in the span of about two hours. Fallout has never really been about the Great War, or the events that led up to it. It's about what the title on the box implies, a world changed by nuclear war.
I'd prefer that the Great War is only shown in trailers and the like, if at all. Hearing NPCs react to it and finding random documents and audio logs is good, but I don't want to see it through the eyes of a character we're in control of.
Nope, not just you.
Personally i don't really care what Fallout was meant to be and traipsing around an unspoiled Boston before the bombs drop wouldn't detract from the overall game play that will take place 200 years later.
Maybe it would be alright for a beginning tutorial to show you how to use stuff and what not, but other than that I hope it moves on and considering that really every game has been farther away from the great war, I hope this one is too.
No, and that's a good thing. Fallout isn't about what was, but what is and will be.
no we just see a few moments of life before the bombs fell then chaos and panic and then boom.
Yep, consider my first comment to be null and void.
A few moments is better than none. I like the history of the Fallout world, if I can glimpse a little bit of it in game, so much the better.
The great war only lasted for a few hours. from time bombs starting falling to when they stopped.
The announcer said new york was nuked. So not every city was hit at once, explains why some were able to make it to vaults ahead of time.
Missiles take about 20-30 minutes to reach their targets, so people will have a brief moment to evacuate once word on the radio gets out on what cities have been nuked.
