This is apparently a fairly well-documented problem across all platforms, but I will voice my problems here. The quest "Confidence Man" is glitching and is still registering the two NPCs with whom I had the bar fight as essential characters. This prevents me from completing the quest, as I cannot rescue Vadim in the brewery because two of the enemies are invincible. This is annoying, but not the end of the world as I could just ignore the quest.

However, the larger problem is that I, too, am considered "essential" and thus cannot die. When my health depletes, I fall to the ground for a moment and then stand up with a full bar of health. No matter what, I do not die (by gunshot, falling, drowning, etc.). This prevents me from having an authentic Fallout survival experience as it doesn't matter how good/bad my guns and gear are, because I'll never die. I could punch a Deathclaw and be fine--it would take a while, but I would kill it with my fists.

I am posting this in hopes that Bethesda will see it so they know to patch this issue ASAP. I truly cannot enjoy the game this way.
