Should I blow up the Citadel?

Hi guys. I'm in a bit of a struggle here: I'm not Who Dares Wins and I don't know whether or not I should blow up the Citadel. It somehow seems like a better choice, as I'm playing an evil/neutral character (haven't decided yet), but I don't really know.

I have done both.... didn't really seem worth it (to me at least). If you are really struggling over it,don't blow it up, play for a bit, and save. Then start a new series of saves and blow it up. Go with whatever you end up liking best. I must admit that the giant crater you create after blowing it up is sweet.

Not worth it. You only get 1 unique weapon and some Alien blaster ammo but you are forever seen as an enemy from the BOS.

What's worse, you can't even go back into the Mobile Base Crawler, either. Even though I'm an Enclave supporter, I still see zero point in blowing up the Citadel, especially considering everything your character's been through with the Brotherhood of Steel.

Though, you do get a nice revolver.

You get the best revolver in the game. That's about it.

You can't turn in Super Mutant Blood Samples and Brotherhood of Steel Holotags. Both if which, I need.

You should do it.

The above is only my opinion. Make a save at the point right before you make your decision. Play it out and if you don't like the consequences, reload and choose the other target.

I always decide based on the character I'm playing. If my charcter hates the BOS then, well, you can see she might just go with

blowing the Citadel into a smoking crater and shooting Sarah Lyons in the back.
That can be a lot of fun. However, if my character has been hating the Enclave the entire time and enjoying the BOS and thinks they are great, then doing it would make no sense to me. It certainly isn't worth doing for the stuff you can collect.

And, like Ghouls says, saving beforehand is always a good idea in case you hate the decision you end up making. Then you can always go back and do it the other way.
