So I have gotten to the Brotherhood of Steel mission "Shadow of Steel". The game crashes every time the vertibird goes past the broadcast area for a radio station. I've found a few people with the same issue (even one PS4 user). Does anyone know a work around, or a solution?

So I found more people with the issue, seems to be the area itself that causes the crash. It's literally halting the entire game for me because the area is required to enter for some main mission quest. Does anyone have an idea what it could be? A lot of people are saying it's the water.

Good News: I found the problem

Bad News: It's our save

I sent my friend my save (Who doesn't have the issue) and it crashed for him. I rolled back a few saves and it still crashed. I got to a save prior to saving Valentin, and I can go to the location. If anyone has a save right after they save him, and can see if you can get to the location, it'll help. The saves I have oddly have a big jump between saving him, and later in the game (4 hours worth of gameplay)

Just loaded a save from when I just got out the vault and used tmm 1 and went to were I had the crash and I can actually walk around it. Maaaan, reminded me how much I wanna play it and how bad my freakin loading screens are for a SSD but i'll spam the forums about that another day. I jk^{OR DO I}

Okay that's all moot now because the dude above did waaay more detective work than me...

what's the console command to wrap to the location. It'll be easier for me to test things.

Luckily same as other creation engine games.

so tmm 1 will unlock all map markers and let you fast travel.

coc on other games would teleport you to that ID, not sure is that works now and I don't know any IDs.

to open the console, the tidle key (left to the 1) or quotation mark.

Little update I found on Reddit about coc if you don't wanna see all map markers.

So I went to a save file where I'm at the end of the quest involving finding valentine. I was able to spawn to the location. So it happen between me saving him, and me killing a certain character. (Hint: cereal)

Only connection I can make between the two is after you've killed that dude, you see BoS in the air and theres a BoS quest at Monsignor where it crashes but you also get that quest if you go there before meeting Kellog I believe.

Here's hoping I don't need to start from the beginning and that Bethesda can fix this, I have put soooo many hours in already and I just cant see myself starting again.

Just avoid the area dude, it'll probably happen again if you start over. As more people are having it, it should get patched soon.

Yer thats the plan for the moment just unfortunate as its [censored] blocking about 4 quests I have at the mo :/ ill keep an eye out and if I hear/see anything ill post it here.

I just started a new game. I'm going to see if I can figure out exactly what triggers it. If anyone here can also check for another area where I get the same crash just east of Bunker hill post the BADTFL office and see if you get a crash there too because I'm starting to think these areas are caused by a conflict with the quests because (Slight spoilers) They are in the area of one of the quests for the brotherhood, railroad, and minute men. The minute men one being when it crashes when in the vertibird and the Railroad one being past the offices where you have to go for a dead drop.

Having same problem in a different place. Can't get to Monsignor Plaza location for the BoS recruit quest to find an Artifact. Whenever I approach it closer then 45 (m? ) to the quest mark it crashes.

Tried to approach it from different sides even from above, jumping in power armor from skyscrapper

I have discovered what triggers the issue at least for me. If you join the Railroad and the Brotherhood at the same time before The Prydwen appears(Or maybe rescuing valentine not sure) I got on the Prydwen and did the first quest from there and then joined the Railroad and now I'm not getting the crash anywhere. Unfortunately this means you need to start a new game or load a save from before you join the RR. Have all of you joined the RR as well or does this bug have multiple triggers?

I've seen the Prydwen (after killing that dude) but not joined the BoS

I've only meet the railroad slight spoiler (followed the red line and guessed the password to meet them)

I've some Minutemen Settlement quests, I got the crash trying to slight spoiler rescue someone to get settlement to join

Nice one btw man, Imma hope a patch fixes this.

Hadn't even met the Railroad until well after I discovered this bug, so I don't think that's it.

My game is also crashing to desktop in this area.
So I can't progress the BoS Vertibird-Quest the Main-Quest *+ 3 other Quests.
It's my first Fallout and I really love this game, but this bug kinda svcks and keeps me away from playing the game right now
