Power armor specific hud overlay?

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 9:27 pm

As seen in pic related from the trailer, power armor seems to have its own hud overlay

I see ammo counters, compass, suit temp readings, HP monitor, and rad monitor.

[censored] YES!

Make sense, its basicly a human shaped vehicle if the little clip of our guy putting it on is to go by.

The whole power armor system in F4 seems to be awesome and realistic too.

I like that its got its own HUD also. I wander if you can mod what the HUD looks like while your inside the suit? aesthetic purposes only though. i dont care either way

Fallout 4 might be the first of the real-time Fallouts I actually wear power armour in. Hmmm...

Doesn't it look like its meant for a vehicle instead power armor.

I would think some gauges would be top corners and some bottom, this is my opinion.

It does, and it would seem that it has active damage monitoring (on the left in yellow).

The PA is the first thing they've done right since they got the license... At least visually; we don't know how it will behave in the game, but it looks promising.

I think there is also a limited power supply as well on the right.

Maybe. I don't know how well they would balance that. Especially with the ability to fly forcing a completely open game.

Fuel perhaps, but the power armor in the game runs on an energy cell that would normally be FAR from drained by this point in time. If the armor is more... salvaged, we might see a variety of power sources that are more/less efficient or effective than others.

In the demo I believe I saw flame detail and Vault themed paint options. I'd assume there's more, but that's what I got from the video.

I think it's great to have an actual helm overlay in first person. However, It remains while in third as well.

Not sure how I feel about that one, just yet.

from you, or the helpless raider you squish under your mighty boots of doom?

And yes! powered power armor! Looks fantastic, like an actual massive suit of walking tank. Hopefully you can't carry it around in your pocket like in past games.

Edit:grammer

Using my vehicle comparsion again and looking at the suit entering animation we saw I assume its a thing you park in the gane world when you dont use it.

I love that it has a HUD. I also love how it'll apparently have functioning headlamps.

Not really about HUD, but I don't feel like making new thread. So are we sure that the power armor is an armor/outfit in the game. Well it is obviously in the game but with the fact that there is animation for entering in to the armor and that you can mount jetpack on, I wonder if power armor in new fallout will function as a temporary boost. Like if you find enough batteries, and spare PA you can become temporarilly a god of war, but once you drain all the energy you cannot use the armor anymore.

I think my favorite part is how it landed. A little animation played where you hit the ground with a thud. I love how heavy they not only look, but feel.

I'm really pleased with the way they've done the power armour in FO4. It looks like they've finally got it right. It never made sense to me in FO3/NV that it was basically an outfit that you could carry around in your inventory (not to mention multiple sets for sale or repair).
