URGENT ATTENTION - PS4 SAVE ISSUES

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 12:51 am

When clicking on save, I recieve an error message saying "There is not enough free space, you must have at least 10.58MB."

I have 240GB on my PS4, and I have also cleaned up all the pictures and videos, I still can't save. Please Help.

Yes,other games have no problem, e.g. Dragon Age Inquisition and GTA V. The interesting thing is that if I create a new save, it saves. I found this work around yesterday but it is extremely annoying for me to keep existing the game to delete old saves, so that I can have enough new save slots. I tend to save regularly because of various bug issues that Fallout has.

Surely I won't be the only one having this problem. It started after Diamond City Blue, a quest that is known for bugs.

What I found so far is that Bethesda has limited the save space for fallout 4 to around 1gig of space , this also includes quick save feature maybe.

If u save lots of save games, this area gets filled quick ! Also as you play the saved file gets bigger ! So as more you play the game the less number of save games u can have !

This is not a glitch , just a limitting feature , why ? I don't know as I have 500gb free at lest

Yeah, thanks Jack. I figured it is something along those lines. I am not sure if it is a gigabyte. I only have 155mb in my Fallout 4 save folder.

It is a Bethesda game, I have no illustration that it will be bugs free. However Saves is the most important feature of any game. The last thing that anyone wants is not able to save and / or having a corrupted save which had happened to me once in Fallout 4, I hope it will never happen again and hence I always save three times in three different slots before closing the game.

I might be wrong , who knows with betheda ,

I got a message that the space was full , and checked the fallout 4 save game space it said 1gig ,

I was shocked relly as with at lest 600gb free as there is a 1t drive in my ps4

Maybe there is a % of free space that fallout will use for saving games .......

What I know is that bethesda clams " it just works " , it works as well as a 3 leged goat .

Hahahahaha yeah they said "It just works" in the E3 demonstration. I wonder if it is to do with the things that you do in the game and make the save size bigger than the overall allowed size created by Bethesda, e.g. I have put a lot of guns, armors and junks in multiple chests. I don't know if it affects the overall size of the save somehow. However, I dont understand how is that different from other people upgrading their settlements, that would also force the game to save the upgrades every time it loads the location / locations.

Anyway, like you said, who knows with Betheda Hahahaha. I hope Betheda reads this. I am planning to play this game four times at least (once for each faction), this save issue is extremely frustrating.

Had your same issue, the save game files under the PS4 application files, i had to delete all but two saved game files for it to work. I was at 997 megs and wouldn't allow me to save any more.

I have also reported this problem in their feedback page. Hopefully Bethesda will investigate this issue. For a game that you can play multiple times and I am sure that it is the goal when Bethesda created Fallout 4, it is stupid to limit the total game save size.

I have to keep getting out of the game to delete saves, it is extremely time consuming and frustrating. It was good that yours was 997MB, Zack. Mine was only 155MB according to the Fallout 4 Saves Folder.

After 60hours into the game, I faced this issue yesterday for the first time.

The game no longer able to replace an existing save file

Only Quicksave, Autosave, and Newsave will work.
