Hello

I had the conversation with Cait about her drug problem quite a while ago only just got round to going to help but I took her to the Vault and no coversation took place other than the regular stuff. Then I noticed that I had no quest on my Pipboy for said quest.

Is there anything I can do to get the quest to start?

Also Preston won't come with me as a companion he won't talk to me as in none of the conversation buttons appear but when he does say something its usually just another settlement quest.
