oh god no. please shut up.. damn.. if anything the friggin zune is all trash. crappy build quality, crappy music manager, over priced for a peice of plastic. the ONLY thing that this zune hd will have over an ipod touch or iphone is an OLED screen. which is an organic light emitting diode. which means that sceen will still work in ten years where as the LCD screens in everything else ever made will only be working about 7 years from now. but who keeps a gadget that long anyway. everything else you listed is also in the ipod touch and iphone as well as awseome build quality, NO PLASTIC, the most successfull application store known to date, and an already as sensitive as it gets screen. you cant get more sensitive than the iphone and ipod touch screen cause its and electro feild sensing screen. it picks up the conductive electric feild around your finger. you can click something wihtout actually touching the screen so shut up with that BS more sensitive than iphone ipod touch.. damn. sorry for the rant but ill-informed microsoft trash fan boys piss me off.

and FYI, the zune HD wouldnt even exist without ipods. hell zunes as a whole wouldnt exist. they were only created because of the huge success of the ipod franchise. bill gates being the greedy SOB he is couldnt stand to see someone else making money by selling a quaility product that doesnt break when it falls 2 inches unlike all of microsofts other products. so he ripped it off with a cheap plastic spin off and dubed it zune. so atleast thank apple for inventing them cause the mp3 market wouldnt of had advanced as much without apple...

back on topic tho, no theirs no app. as powerfull as the iphone 3G S is, rendering anything the size of fallout on any portable device seems sorta outlandish... even a small like check up stile app like what WOW has sounds silly and useless..

you can make it like fallout 1&2, they only needed some 100mhz processor as far as i know.

the iphone 3G S has over 600 MHZ. the only problem being control schemes for a touch screen device..

Vir2L developed several Elder Scrolls games for cell phones, a Fallout game for cell phones (or more specifically, the iphone) is certainly a possibility - I know several of the devs are fans of their iphones.

Wasn't there some interview with one of the Devs regarding Todd's original quote about an iphone game some time back, where they basically said that it had more to do with Todd being excited about his new phone than anything they'd really been looking at all that seriously? Basically, a gaming geek got a new toy and spent some time dreaming up what could be done with it, from what I understand.

Still, though. Like has been said - they've got cellphone games based on Oblivion. (I actually played on a while back, it wasn't half bad as far as cellphone games go - wasn't as nice as Orcs and Elves, but wasn't too bad.)

By it's very nature, any mobile game based off something like Fallout 3 isn't actually going to try and replicate the whole experience on a phone.

Ah this again. Well, people seem to dig watered down experiences so, what the hell.

And if all the zune owners pay $1000 a copy they might just break even.
