Is someone going to tell him or do I have to?

I made it in without getting hit even once. Went in alone. Shotgun worked wonders. Just checked. No disease. Gave the kid the cure.

It's not a rumour.

Is there really no way to cure this?

I just realised I have got this disease hours after getting vault 81.

I feel like my game has been ruined now and i'm going to have to restart.

EDIT: Just found an earlier save. The doc wont even let me split the cure.

Oh well. My conscience won't let me keep the cure for myself.

At least my sacrifice gets me a nice little room in the vault.

Do you still get infected if you wear power armor

I used power armor and suppressed weapons, think I got hit, but no disease.

Just save before each quest if you're afraid of something perm.

If you use the cure on yourself, but still have the dialogue box open then you can hand the cure over, might be patched now though.

Yeah your right.

Did find an earlier save. Wouldn't let me split the cure anyway and as my conscience wont let me let the kid die I just have to live with it.

At least I get a nice apartment in the vault

I wish there were most quests like this, moral choices that actually have real consequences.

It's a good choice, personally, because it actually means (a little--very little) sacrifice.

I have a possible solution on a cure for this disease, for players on console like me who can't go back to any older saves. I noticed that when I had this disease, my health bar would always be displayed in my HUD, looking like it was almost full health because of that -10 HP. As far as I remember the health bar momentarily "dissappears" or gets hidden when you have full health and no radiation, right? So I was in a tough fight the other day and I used one of those "refreshing beverages" (healing 4-500 HP, -1000 RADS and cures all addictions - or diseases?) that you can craft at cooking stations. After the fight I patched myself up with some stimpaks, and I noticed that my health bar was not constantly showing anymore. So I came to the conclusion that the disease may be cured, or is it just a small bug? I haven't got the time to confirm this theory yet, but I will try to do so as soon as I play more. I also read some rumours about craftable food that cures all diseases, so maybe there is still hope for all of us that didn't realize that they were sick, or simply just could not watch a innocent child die in his bed.
