GMs will contact you in game over a ticket, for example. What they absolutely will not do is contact you to inform you of a successful beta application.

Right - but what I'm asking is if how they contact you has changed. Because the person said they won't use the regular chat, and like I said - last time I talked to one it was in the regular chat.

GM's do not "whisper" you anymore. It appears in a seperate window at the top right of your screen that says "A GM would like to talk with you. Please click this boss to talk to a GM". Then, a window drops down that lets you talk to the GM. It's not done through whispers, even hitting "r" wont reply to him/her.
That change happened quite a while ago due to people being scammed.

They'll probably have the battlechests too, WoW+BC and some strategy guides IIRC. Dunno about the guides, but the price for the expansion would be worth considering.

Decided today my new project will be to get my now level 51 rogue to 80 by next Wednesday. I have BoA's so he's set on Armor and weapons, 2x[Venerable Mass of McGowan] for combat, then I have 2x[Balanced Heart Seeker] and 1 [Sharpened Scarlet Kris] for Sub and Assassination. Got Dual specs and my cold weather flying tome and the cash for journeyman flying already.

However something funny just happened, flew to Marshal's Refuge in Un'goro to quest. I show up while a Night Elf Hunter(level 48) is cowering in his stealth racial while a Tar Lord mauls his pet. Guess he was hoping for it to go away after it killed it. I decided to help by killing the Tar Lord, giving the hunter a /pet and walking away....here where he went wrong.

As I am walking away a Arcane shots slams me in the back, now, you know when you see the movie where the hero hits a villain and just looks at him like "Da hell!?" I turned around and pretty much stabbed the [censored] out of him until he resed about 9 or 10 times, then he finally took the FP and left.

I'm loving my Death Knight. The only thing that's tiring is leveling mining and skinning. I'm making crazy money, but having to run around leveling them up (especially Mining; Skinning isn't so bad) is really annoying.

Almost 75 on my Lock..god I HATE LEVELING. Sigh.

At least you have BoA's on that character. Playing that frost mage again reminded me why I all but abandoned him. Leveling in the 70's without any BoA's is a pain in the ***. Especially after leveling a few with them. Gets you spoiled. :laugh:

Yeah MrDarkSim, not having BoA's would just be a no go for me. I wouldn't even attempt to level without them now haha. I'm just so spoiled by the fast leveling..20% more XP 1-80 is pretty freaking significant in retrospect. Millions of XP, probably.

My rolls on gear are so hilariously [censored], I attend the same amount of raids as everyone else but gear up at half the speed. I'm having a very minor nerd rage now , stupid.

I haz no 80, so I haz no heirlooms. Not a big deal for me though, I'm used to playing without them -- however. On two servers, I have a high-level enchanter who can beef up the gear on my lowbies. After starting on another server though, I haz no uber enchanter, and it REALLY svcks

So I can understand getting spoiled by BoA gear.

By the way...can you enchant heirlooms, and if so, will they retain the enchant when mailed to another toon?

Yes, you just cant enchant it with something that would make the item soulbound.

You can't enchant heirlooms with level 80 enchants. The enchants that require a level, like some enchants require level 60, 70, etc, you can't enchant heirlooms with them because heirlooms are all iLevel 1. All items have a iLevel, and that determines what enchants you can put on them.
You can enchant all heirlooms with level 60 enchants, however, because they don't require levels. Like Crusader on a melee weapon, Spellpower on a Staff, or dagger, or whatever (the enchant is 30 spellpower) but you can't put the level 80 enchant which is 81 spellpower on them. You also can't enchant shoulders with anything except the Aldor/Scryer enchants, and you can't even do that until level 70. If you do it before level 70, the shoulder enchant will appear in red text, meaning it's not active, and once you hit 80, it will turn green, granting the enchant.
