Several uncommon bugs - help needed

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:51 pm

I've been playing Fallout 4 on my PS4 for weeks now and encountered a number of bugs that (after some research) appear still mostly unanswered on the web.

1. At some occassions you can no longer select, store or disasemble objects after building them in your camps!

First I tried to set a cable connector to the roof top of a sanctuary building (which got entirely stuck and is unselectable now) and then the same happened with a ladder in the middle of one of my camps!

2. Working through the quests I encountered some SOS-Emitters from dead brotherhood members. Collecting the emitter stopped the signal but when I dropped it in Sanctuary again the signal re-appeared. This wouldn't be much of a problem if the sender was not still active after I disasembled it!

3. Brahmin keep eskaping closed buildings and run wild just as much as villagers keep gathering on roof tops... what's so interesting up there?

4. Selecting a shelf before its content and disasembly of it causes the content of the shelf to dissapear along without you gaining the components for the bins, jars, boxes, etc.

5. One of the "connect cable" visual and audio effects (the brzzzt and light) got stuck even after I took down the whole cable and still remains after sleep, fasttravel back and forth and so on..

6. I managed to sneak behind some enemies and steal the power-core from their super armor then killed them and took it. Even after I killed them putting stuff onto power armor and taking it off the power armor still counts as stealing... shouldn't the proberty be claimed after I killed them..?

7. This is a rather nasty bug! Whatever happens in a village affects the whole village... After aquiring the mission to asassinate a dude in diamont city I followed him to his house and quietly killed him with a melee weapon.. once I stepped outside the villagers were waiting for me and started a bullet rain! The same happened when i placed stuff into the lettercase in front of my diamont city apartment (would be nice if I could set a trading route up there) and tried to take the stuff back again... Seems like the box in front of my own house does not even belong to me and reclaiming my own items was counted as stealing and yet again, not only the owner but the whole city started a uprising against me !

So... some of them are more serious then others but all in all I hope for some help and probably some patching to fix these really annoying things...

(Select, cancel and retour supply lines over the map would be awesome btw, had to push a guy 20 mins towards my village to give him a new route...)

With brahmin, build a brahimin feeder and place it somewhere. They'll just stay in the area that the brahmin feeder is in. It looks like a bathtub but specifically says it's for feeding brahimin.. If you accidentally have used a brahmin feeder as a bathtub in a residence this could cause some problems.

Stealing from my mailbox.. Yeah, I had this also. I just stuck one item in there and it immediately turned red. I took it out and the game stated "You have been caught stealing, the owner will now reclaim their items." I waited around but nobody came to reclaim the item. I really wanted to see who this supposed owner was so I could beat them up and show them that this was now my mailbox and they need to give it up. Seems like nothing outside of your house counts as yours. I'm not even sure the power armor station is yours as residents love fiddling with the stuff I put there. At least it doesn't count as stolen like the mailbox.

Yea well ... I built the brahmin feeder inside of the barn but they don't care at all x'D

And decoration does not seem to have the described effect to raise moral of a town... and I went all out and gave them pictures, plants, even a barbeque area with outdoor furniture ! D:

Or maybe my villagers are just ungratefull bastards :<

In response to your unselectable/unstorable objects. I have had this happen too a few times and found that the game thinks they're in a different location. I had a corn stalk that when I was facing it like 50 ft. away all of a sudden lit up so that I could select it (so try facing towards what you're trying to move but back up a good distance and strafe around while always facing the object, it may just light up). For those things once I've found the "location" of the item I would store and then place it again and all would be good.
