» Thu May 27, 2010 12:36 pm I haven't read every post made here, so maybe 43 points sound a bit better ? 3 extra points will give you that small edge on your main attribute without completely knocking other skills, I hated having low strength and thus not being able to carry and sell all the items I found, but I realized the perks on the first few levels are terrible so I just got more SPECIAL.
Anyways, I think 40 is the best choice, but I always get some more just to make life easier.

43 is still too much, characters should have strengths and weaknesses, those few points may prevent anyone from ever going under the 5 mark.
