» Fri Nov 27, 2015 5:43 am I have managed to sort out a temporary fix for the lockpicking screen bug that happens on 5:4 monitors. I have let Gabi know on steam as well and they have added to their guide.
Couple of notes to point out though.
1) resolution is based on 1280x1024
2) you will have to deal with a slight desktop background border round the game unfortunately
Okay here comes the fix
in Fallout4Prefs.ini (located in Documents/My Games/Fallout4 ALSO steamapps/common/Fallout 4/Fallout4) you need to change these settings;
bTopMostWindow=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=0
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=950
iSize W=1270
Borderless is optional for those that want to position the game to slightly reduce border look by having in middle of monitor, or if you have multiple monitors as it has a tendancy to cross slightly onto a monitor at the side.
1270 seems to be its best point for some reason isntead of 1280, and 950 'tricks' the game screen into a widescreen setting somehow which "unlocks" the lockpicking screen
