Your Pc Backstory?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 4:01 pm

Given the story limitations imposed on us on the PC in F4, I still think we can have some back story to our characters before they got married and had a kid.

Male: Christopher Stark, An ex heir to multi billion company that shut down when he refused to become the CEO of that company when his father died. He is tech wiz that has done some work for the military either in combat or helping his scientist friends advance power armor. He enjoys having a normal life, but at times he craves action due to his military background.

Female: Diana or Kallen, A young girl that was raised by a military father who secretly taught her basic survival skills, how to use a gun and melee weapons. She was the top of her class and consider the strongest person in college due to her advancing what she was taught by her late father by learning from her ex blacks ops uncle. She soon settled down with her man and had a kid.

Rickardo Stark. He was the youngest son of a powerful and respected Canadian politician who was killed for false crimes in the States. Rickardo's whole family died or got lost during the war, and he fled to America. There, he tried to start over only for everyone he loved to die again because that's how his story freakin' goes. He leaves the vault, gets a dog named Shaggywolf, and goes off to do cool wastelandy stuff.

Colt Rapids, a veteran of the Sino-American war. Originally from Florida he served with the Third Armored Division of the united states army. Colt served as a standard infantry trooper in one of the last mechanized infantry units that still utilized apc's, how ever he like many others received power armor training in the event the apcs were put out of commission. He was first deployed to Anchorage, Alaska in late 2071 and served their until the Third Armored Division was given orders to redeploy to Yangtze, China. He served in china until June 2076 when the new T-51B power armored suits arrived and began to ensure U.S. victory in China. He hadn't married before the war but did get married after to his fiance of 5 years in mid 2075. When he returned home after the war he had a wife and child waiting for him as well as a job with a local nuka cola factory where he was given the position of a manager, but he still liked to pull his own weight on the floor. While in the army he received his expert infantry mans badge, The bronze star medal, and a wide variety ribbons.

Iirc the male character is also a war veteran. I think the wife males mention about how his speech at the vet hall will be great, or something.

I figured the both were veterans, and the male's just gonna be giving a speech. From a story perspective, the wife's probably with him in front of the mirror so they can both get ready before going to the hall.

My RP tends to be more a process of discovering who my character is as they make choices in game, so most often I leave things fuzzy until I form a better sense of who they are as they make choices in-game.

Nora Richards was the Canadian-born child of Kieth and Martha Scottfeld. Her family immigrated to the United States in 2048 and she grew up as a patriotic Canadian-American schoolgirl. Being blessed with a keen intellect and possessed of a ravenous hunger for knowledge, she excelled in maths and sciences, and eventually found her way into the military. Signing on largely because of the benefits of military schooling, she went through basic training and eventually became a power-armour mechanic assigned to the Anchorage reclamation. Here, she met the love of her life, Richards. They served alongside each other, and eventually retired from active military duty in 2075. The couple settled down and had a child, Shaun, and their status as veterans of the Anchorage campaign helped to secure their place in Vault 111.

What happens next? I don't know yet, aside from the fact that she looses her family and wakes up roughly two centuries later in a world that resembles nothing of what she remembers.

+1, especially with semi-predetermined characters like this.

Same really. Giving a detailed background almost restricts what I can do once I'm in the game. It can also assume a lot of skills my PC won't actually have (like ex-military, scientist, etc.) until I've played a while.

Basically at level one (assuming there are levels) you have very little skills or perks anyway, so you really Joe/Jane Sample, just a regular person with no outstanding skills at all. What you can become though, is much different.

I'm simple in this regard. Killed my entire family, sacrificed them (Especially the child.) to my Elder God, & then hibernated through nuclear hell for 200+ years only to wake up and begin sacrificing everyone else to my god. Will probably eat them as well to make sure they stay dead. At least killing the entire family will be fun.
