Hdmi audio issue

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 3:28 pm

I have it installed on a laptop that's hooked up to a home theater, so i just hook up the hdmi to my receiver and have the hdmi output as the active audio device. When i launch the game, it switches the audio out to the onboard speakers. I've tried disabling all audio devices except for the hdmi out, but when i launch the game, it disables the audio altogether. Just updated the sound and video drivers, but the problem persists. And it's the only game i have that does this.

Any suggestions???

I already have, yes. It was already at DVD quality, i didn't have to change it. Thanks, though. I also reinstalled directx, it didn't make a difference. There's no problem with the audio when i play it through the laptop speakers. It's basically just refusing to play audio through the hdmi for some reason. I've never had that problem with any other games before, or heard of it, that's why I'm looking for ideas here. ;-)
