Fallout 4 crashes pc

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 7:18 pm

The game crashes after 4-5 minutes, sometimes only 1min. I get a black screen and can't do anything and is forced to restart my pc. I can still hear background sound when fallout crashes.
Things that I have tried:
updating my gpu driver
installed beta driver for gpu

changed the ini settings to bMaximizeWindow=0 bBorderless=1 bFull Screen=0 iSize H=1080 iSize W=1920

Windowed mode with borderless.

vertify integrity of game cache.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home 64-bit (10.0, Build 10240)

Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4670K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~3.4GHz

Memory: 8192MB RAM

graphics: amd radeon hd 7900 series

and I who thought Bethesda wouldnt be like EA and release an unfinished game...

If you have SLI then

Open Nvidia Control Panel >

Select Manage 3D settings (Under 3D settings) >

Select "Program Settings" Tab on the right hand side >

on the drop down select box manually add "Fallout4.exe" and "launcher.exe"

Now do this for both applications:

-SLI rendering mode -----> Force alternate frame rendering 2

And now my game dont crash any more..

Running into the same problem. But my crashes tend to be when I'm "instanced" into a "sub-world" they will also happen when I am walking around the CommonWealth(open world), but not as frequently, have tried viewing event viewer, and a multitude of other things, but nothing seems to help the issued. Not an overheating issue with me as well. The game auto defaults my settings to High, I was playing in low-medium settings for ~4 hours with no issues. And have played with medium-high settings for ~1 & 1/2 hours with no issues, but as soon as I go through a loading screen into a sub-world my system will crash and reboot.
