Combat in fallout 4

Combat in the last couple of fallout's has been lack luster. Fallout 3 was okay because nearly every enemy had guns, but once you get about mid game only the enemies from the DLC's and death-claws are of any challenge. How ever in Fallout: New Vegas combat took a more lore friendly approach, a lot of enemies had lower grade weapons; Some only had knives at best. Even at the earliest levels though this makes combat relatively easy, though explosives now did a much greater amount of damage they now weren't all that common outside of dynamite. Even the feared legion were a joke, you could walk inside of the fort and kill them all of them without help except for maybe the praetorian guard. Now many of these enemies could've been more deadly if they were able to use actual ambushing tactics and the combat system had larger amounts of damage in comparison to the armor.

Really what i'm hoping for in fallout 4 is improved AI that allows them to use some level of basic tactics to make the more deadly. What are your hopes for combat in fallout 4?

In one of the 75 articles talking about Fallout 4 on a bunch of websites on the internet. I read that Bethesda Game Studios hired someone or some people from Bungie to help them develop a better and more modern combat system for Fallout 4.

Unless I probably read something else.

They've already shown alot of combat. Enemies seem tougher, with Power armor being more tank-like than ever and much more heavily armored raiders. Now we also don't have to switch to a melee when they get close, we could jab them with a bayonet and pistol whip them too. Not to mention the new sectional armor system, allowing us to fit all kinds of straps and flaps of leather to a Vault Suit, replace and remove them at will.

I don't think the being able to equip different pieces of armor on different body parts of your Player Characters (PC's) is much of anything for Fallout 4. Afterall Bethesda Game Studios had this system already developed for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind back in 2002 when it released for sale.

I am able to equip a Iron Left Pauldron, a Imperial Steel Right Pauldron, a Dwarven Left Gauntlet, a Daedric Right Gauntlet, a Steel Cuirass, a Orcish Helmet, Netch Leather Greaves, and Ebony Boots on my Player Characters (PC's) in The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

I think Bethesda Game Studios is going to have this way more improved than what they have for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.

I'm very happy Bethesda Game Studios brought this feature back and I hope they continue to keep this feature for all of the video games that they develop and release for sale in the future from now on.

I'm really damn glad they brought it back too. It was one of the things I loved about Morrowind, running around with a mismatch of armor. Not to mention the layers of clothes you could wear also. Unfortunately, Fallout 4 still just the outfit/jumpsuit slot, and hat/headwear/glasses slots. Atleast you can wear a ring now.

I'm also kind of sad you can't wear a bunch of different clothes under the armor, but what if Todd Howard didn't show that on purpose to leave for a surprise and you actually can wear different clothes under armor in Fallout 4?

I would be very happy if that actually really is in Fallout 4.

They improved gun combat, but no idea if they improved melee combat.

I'm willing to bet that Bethesda Game Studios also improved melee combat not just gun combat in Fallout 4.

Read my comment #2, you will see a explanation about this new combat system Bethesda Game Studios developed for Fallout 4.

If Bethesda Game Studios really did hire someone or some people from Bungie to help them develop a more modern combat system for Fallout 4. Then I imagine it will be a very good developed combat system. Something close to the Halo video games maybe?

No one is asking the right questions here.

Why is one of the tags 'nipbles'?
