Today i was gonna go do the human error mission im lvl 42 and i have beaten the game not sure if that matters or not but when i went to the town of covenant the gate was already open i went right through the gate on my first trip there i heard from a friend that i was supposed to take a test kinda like the G.O.A.T. test from fallout 3 to open the gate but i never had to do that and i cant find honest dan any where either im on xbox one

I have this same problem. i've beaten the main quest and sided with the minutemen. I would guess that it had something to do with completing the nuclear option before doing this quest.
