Curie and Piper *spoilers*

When Curie gets her new body she literally starts with... well, nothing. With what should I equip her? Other companions have their own weapons with unlimited ammo and she doesn't, so I need an advice with her.

Speaking of unlimited ammo. Piper uses 10mm pistol. But what happens if I give her the new one? Upgraded? Will she need ammunition with it as well?

Any weapon you give a companion will need ammo. Even if it's just a regular 10mm pistol.

Will the ammo run out? Like if I gave Cait a 10mm pistol and 100 10mm rounds, will I have to pay attention to her ammo count?

Yuuuup!!! I gave nick a flamethrower he ran out and doesnt use it anymore. I want to know if we can upgrade there original guns if so will it still be unlimited ammo?

Yeah, this is exactly my question regarding Piper. As for Curie... well, I'll just give her some melee weapon in this case. At least she won't use ammo.

Yes you need to give them ammo even if you give em weapon that uses same ammunition as their base weapon, and Currie does have a laser rifle after you get the a synth body for her(but there is a bug with her that she rly goes into melee mode a lot so best way is just giving her some melee weapon)

Yeah its a bit anoying cuz companions burn trough ammo rly fast so its not rly sustinable to keep em supplied with it for all of the time, but you can give em something good with ammo for it for harder missions etc...I am sure some mod will give them unlimited ammo or at least unlimited ammo of the type their basic weapon uses.(i think they dont have it on default for ballance reasons)

I'll probably do that. But as a console player I'll have to wait for mods longer, so for now I have to handle that annoying mechanic without them.

Curie has a laser rifle with infinite ammo as default ranged weapon (Would be more obvious if they didn't get rid of holstered weapons), but you'll want to give her a melee weapon so she doesn't try to beat up Deathclaws with her bare hands.
