The Dualshock 4's Touchpad

What function do you guys wish this (definitely not useless) button will have in Fallout 4?

I suppose the easy answer would be the Wait function, seeing as how the controller no longer has the Select button, but I think it could have a more imaginative use. My idea would be for the touchpad to be used for quicksaving; with one side of the touchpad being clicked for quicksaving and the other used for quickloading. Quicksaves have been missing from the console Bethesda games and I feel that they have helped me immensely in my time playing the PC versions. What do you guys hope (or think) the touchpad will be used for?

Mabye it will have use in the mini games you can play on the Pipboy MK4.
Ok not the best use but I'm tired and can't think. The PS4 controller touch pad should have a unique use though. It offers superior input options compared to the other console.

I would say map functionality will be a big part dependent upon how the pip boy scales the game map. Mini games would be at a very very very distant use. I say this from a mutiplat perspective. All functionality for mini games would be similar for both console... just a cost perspective.

What I DO hope is that the controller speaker is utilized for pip boy recordings. Finding the dead father and son in a sewer pipe and listening to their last days from a prewar holotape would be even more haunting through the speaker.

Probably could use it as a multi function piece. Swipe left to right for quick weapons? Tap once for quick save, hold for wait function, swipe up or down for companion commands?

Possibilities are vast with that thing and is only limited by how much the developer can creatively use. 4 directional swipe, single double triple tap, single double triple click, hold down. Not to mention it's functionality can change for minigames.

Not much, assuming that buttons can be mapped around in the options menu. I know I'm switching the Triggers with the pads, hate the triggers on the PS4.
