How to get large quantities of Minutemen Gear?

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 1:06 pm

I want to equip the guards in my settlements with Minutemen outfits and weapons. Now, normally I would get the needed items via cheats, but I don't know the reference codes and wiki doesn't have them either. So does anyone know what cheats I need to use or where I can get the items in large quantities?

The legitimate way to get minutemen outfits and hats is the clothing shop you can build in town. I have tier 3 clothing shop that lets me buy 2 minutemen outfits and 1 minutemen hat per day basically... along with clean suits, dresses, and fancy hats. My town has style now!

Oh, good to know that the clothing shops sell Minutemen outfits as well :D Time to build a few!

Now only to find a steady source of wood... I can get a steady source of steel in Diamond City, but wood... (no, just clearing settlements is not an option for me as I try to turn most of my settlements into proper towns).

Sometimes Carla, the roving trader, will have Supply grade items, like massive amounts of a certain resource...I'll check in a bit if she carries wood.

My first run-through has been very much a ~learning experience~.... when I get around to doing it "right", one thing I definitely want to do is assign "uniforms" to my settlers so that guards are dressed lke so, and merchants are dressed like so, and farmers are dressed like so.

As it is, it is hard for me to tell whether I have already assigned a settler to a task or if he's new to the community and has no job. Sometimes I'll grab a settler and say, guard this station and then my food total drops and I realize that that was one of my farmers... so then I have to go find a settler to take up farming.
