FO4 overheating my GPU

Post » Fri Nov 27, 2015 4:49 pm

Intel 3570k

EVGA 660ti 3GB

16GB RAM

I've gone through every setting configuration possible, low to high, some options on or off, doesn't matter. Whenever I start playing within about 2-3 minutes my GPU will hit 95c and slowly climb to 100c. This is the only game this happens on. Every other game I play can comfortably sit at 80c, tops.

Anyone know of maybe an .ini setting I can tweak to help resolve this? There is something that is pushing my GPU way too hard, and I can't figure out what it is for the life of me. :sadvaultboy:

I use MSI Afterburner already, and the fan speed on the card is capped at 80% anyways.

Unless you're overclocking it on purpose, it shouldn't be randomly overheating. It will never be the fault of any game. Perhaps it's time to open up the case and do a bit of vaccuuming.

My system is very clean. This is the only game it does it on. The exception being CS:GO if I don't limit the frames to 100. It most certainly can be the fault of a game.
