My only disappoint with game so far.... the Vaults

I love FO4 overall.

The one big disappointment are the vaults. The vaults have always been cool creepy places to explore. FO:NV did this especially well with the vault where the dwellers had to sacrifice each other (or at least thought they did).

In FO4, the vaults are mundane and just another normal gunfight or place..... which makes me (and my pet hamster) very sad.

Aw, really? They don't have a creepy story or anything anymore? I've only found the vault with people living in it still and the one built into the subway.

They are way creepy. OP is speaking out of ignorance.

Only five of them including 111 though but that is some messed up stuff, even the seemingly happy normal vault.

Also there is plenty of things to be disappointed with. They really need to fix the PC port before I buy it.

2 of them are gunner strongholds, 1 unfinished and full of Triggermen. the only one that is half decent is 81 (when you go into the locked off part) but even that lacks any atmosphere and a creepy-ness feel.

There were some great ones in NV and i really liked the hallucinogenic one and that one with the clone of one guy in Fallout 3. They were creepy.

I've visited all the vaults and they are very mundane. No creativity in them whatsoever.

yeah, going to have to agree, the only creepy one in the game is Vault 81, and that is more "OMG, look what COULD have happened", and besides that is more like the old school Vaults.

Fallout 3 also had some really nice vaults.

Vault 111 is pretty dayum creepy

Vault 81 fits the atmosphere

The others are what I'd expect if Talon mercs took over. From what I've seen. No different than Vault 34 filled with the Fiends was it? or any of the fallout 1-2 vaults that didn't emphasize the experiments with vault 13 and 15 being military strongholds for deathclaws and raiders.

Though it would have been better if they had shown more of those social experiments, then again they make nice post war bunkers after all their inhabitants died out.

Not going to spoil it for anyone, just bear in mind that the Vaults in F4 are overall less overt than in F3 and NV which is appropriate with it being Lovecraft country.

It isn't easy to trust what people claim on the internet so the most reasonable thing to do is go out and explore and form your own informed opinion.

None of the Vaults are social experiments, even though they are still described as-such in the loading screens.

Vault 81 was about testing pathogens on people.
Vault 95 was about curing addicts and then revealing a cache of drugs.
Vault 114 was never finished.
Vault 111 was just about freezing people.
Vault 75 was about eugenics.

They are literally so bland I'm not sure I've even remembered the numbers properly.

The whole point of this stupid Vault Experiment idea is that the Vaults are the same except for one thing that is changed, hence why there are control Vaults which the others can be compared to after the "tweak" is done to make the other Vaults different.
