Did somebody find a dagger or knife thats actually usable while sneaking?

Currently i only use swords, cause they're much more powerfull and the 0.5 additional critdamage just dousn't trump 3 times the damage + some strong special effect of swords.

Have you tried the switchblade or the combat knife?

Something or others "tooth" is a great legendary dagger. I forget it's name but you can find it in a mine. Works great with the sandman perk.

Hm, ya it has. U do 10.5, instead of 10. Not worth it using a knife, if every sword in the game does 3 times the damage. :/

I'm sure there's a knife or perk which increases the multiplier of knife sneak attacks significantly, cannot remember which though.

Sadly not, it all comes down to melee sneak attacks, whats used is mostly irrelevant.

Pickmans blade is a unique combat knife that i think does 25 dmg. Plus 25 extra poison damage and plus the standard combat knife mod with % increase damage with sneak attacks. Haven't tried it out yet but it sounds like it could be good.

Edit: plus the speed is: fast. Very fast.

A Lucky Stealth Combat Knife would be your best dagger for stealth kills. I wonder if Sandman affects it...

You can get a good dps from knives with bleed and poison damage due to their speed, since each jab will drain more health. But they aren't that powerful for instant one-time damage.

Ya, thats maybe true, but once u stab someone and don't kill him, he is going to detect u quickly.

If u didn't manage to stab him undetected again, by that time, well.... then u're screwed, so i'm mostly going for the oneshot with a sword.

But its kinda sad. Can't wait for the modding tools. :<

ha well in Skyrim they respected the sneak daggers, it had the highest multiplier perk.

To be fair, That thing pretty much invalidates ALL melee weapons though.

It does but I also like the look and effects of some of the other melee weapons. It also doesn't work with power armor, not that I ever use it but the time I took a super sledge to raiders would've been much more fun with the power fist.
