As soon as I enter the game's "press any key to play" screen the game flickers between a black screen and the actual title screen. I'm not sure why this is and it's breaking the game for me.

I have a i7 quad core 4710k HQ Turbo 3.5 Ghz processor and a GeForce GTX 970 so I think I have decent hardware for the game.

Any help would be great, I bought the game a couple days ago and have tried all the support tricks to fix it but nothing has worked.

i7-4700HQ @ 2.40GHz GEFORCE GTX 860M

After the flicker, I calibrated the borderless windowed mode screen at a res of 1280 x 720. That stopped the flicker, allowed me to briefly play until the (fully updated) NVIDIA driver crashed.

Now, depending on settings, I can either try to load and have the driver crash, or the game crashes to windows right off.

Frustratingly no good leads on troubleshooting solutions...
